setting movement from sections of the company's repertory on
students.
this student ensemble then performs the piece as part of the
company's show.
we
have found that students love being a part of the professional
experience, and that their inclusion energizes the community in
exciting ways. friends, family and local arts patrons develop
personal investments in the performance event as they show up to
support the students; as this sense of connection activates,
audience-engagement with the performance as a whole deepens.
this aspect of the dtX residency is often the most rewarding for
both the company and the community.
